HOW OUR SERVICE IS CHANGING IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19
We value the health and wellbeing of not only our employees but this community. With the concerns surrounding COVID-19 increasing Merced County Mosquito Abatement District is taking the following preventative measures to protect our residents and our employees.MCMAD Press Release 20-02.pdf20-01 MCMAD press release- Response to COVID-19.pdf
Service Requests will be temporarily suspended
During this time our District will not be responding to residential requests for service. The CDC, CDPH and the Merced County Public Health Department have all recommended limiting personal contact. This does not mean we will not be out providing mosquito control, our employees will continue to work diligently providing inspections and treatments to mosquito breeding areas as needed. Our seasonal employees will be returning to work on April 20, 2020 and at that time we will reevaluate the situation as it stands.
Temporary Closure of District facilities to the public
The District office in Merced and Dos Palos will not be accessible to the public at this time. If you need to contact the District staff please call (209) 722-1527 or email us at (redacted) We will provide updates as they are available.
